When the owners of this home called us soon after they moved in, they described their dream kitchen in one word. Light.
With ample space in this mid-century construction for a gracious family kitchen that works just as well for entertaining, the new space is functional, beautiful, and full of light! A set of new windows and door provide entry from the front porch, and the low ceiling was opened up to provide a home for new skylights over the lozenge-shaped multi-function island.
Hardworking finishes, quartzite and commercial grade terrazzo tile, are paired with sleek cabinetry and hidden appliances, elegantly enhancing both form and function. The result is an airy, modern kitchen with space that works for this busy family to gather, connect, and relax – and has lots and lots of light!
